T3 Cytomel – Liothyronine Sodium

T3 Cytomel – Liothyronine Sodium

T3 – Liothyronine Sodium (Trijodothyronine Citomed)

Citomed, also known as lyothyronine or T3, is the main hormone produced by the thyroid gland. Thyroxine, which is biologically inactive, is converted into a more active form, triiodothyronine, with the help of a special enzyme in the body. Thyroxine has been widely used in bodybuilding and as a weight loss aid.

Cytomed's effects include:

  • Acceleration of metabolism
  • Strengthening heat production
  • Fat burning
  • Stimulating effect on the central nervous system
  • Appetite suppression
  • Reducing the need for sleep
  • Improving physical performance

Thyroxine is more effective than many existing fat burners, including pharmacological options. Many bodybuilders use Thyroxine as a way to lose weight. Thyroxine has a strong fat-burning effect, increasing calorie consumption and accelerating metabolism. However, its popularity has decreased recently because of the negative effects on the heart. Thyroxine has an effect similar to adrenaline, making the heart beat faster and causing a feeling of excitement and anxiety that is not well tolerated.

However, these side effects can be reduced if Thyroxine is combined with beta blockers. Beta blockers block the receptors through which Thyroxine affects the heart, preventing the negative effects of Thyroxine on the heart and normalizing the rhythm. They also help reduce some other side effects of Thyroxine. Many people believe that thyroxine can irreversibly suppress the function of the thyroid gland. However, studies have shown that even large doses of the medication for 3 weeks only reduce the secretion of the hormone by 20%. After 4 weeks, the secretion returns to normal.
